Is it possible to edit or delete a thread?

Google image search has a picture of me linked to an old thread I started, and even though I removed my avatar, I can't get Google to remove the image from their search results without the thread being deleted or significantly changed... Can anyone help?

yeah, the issue is Google Image Search... even though I've removed my picture from Tom's Hardware, Google won't remove the cached image from its search results unless the page itself is either removed or significantly changed (which compares by text content, not images).

And for some reason I don't get an option to edit the old posts like I can this one... is this because the thread is locked? if its not possible to delete the thread, could you unlock it so I can make some edits to the content?

I have unlocked it but don't edit it so much that it loses meaning as it is still possibly helpful for other people who have the same problem.

I don't know why it was locked.
