[SOLVED] Is it possible to extend bluetooth range for electronics ?

I just bought the waterguru.com sens2 pool water tester - which tests the water and sends the results via wifi to my phone (which is fine b/c the wifi signal extends to the pool)
Unfortunately, I see that it only takes a reading once per day. It allows "instant" on demand testing if you're within bluetooth range it connects to the phone via BT to receive the request to test the water. However, it's just outside bluetooth reach from the house - Is there a way to extend my bluetooth so that I can make a request from my phone while inside of the house and it will connect to the waterguru by the pool?

I know their are bluetooth extenders for audio, but don't know what would work for this. Where it doesn't require the device to pair to the extender, but rather just repeats any bluetooth signal it receives.
Or perhaps something that I can connect to my iPhone to enhance/extend the signal that it sends

extenders should be available, it uses same wifi 2.4GHz frequency so wifi antennas will work fine with BT extenders, extender itself is device which has both transmitter and receiver (transceiver)
for consumers its mostly for extending bluetooth audio, as bluetooth audio is most common thing in house u want to extend
for bluetooth extender which u want, u will need to look for industrial devices
something like this can go up to 30KM range (with wifi dishes on both sides)

Thanks, I only need it to extend another 50 feet.
also- does it just detect a bluetooth signal and repeat it - or do the devices have to pair to the extender (as I don't think the waterguru can connect to anything except the phone (via the app).
