hmm I cannot say I have ever thought of doing that. When you mess with the front side bus on a motherboard you can speed up sata bus, and after a certain point it gets corrupted. technically that should be overclocking the Hard drive MCU slightly. I would not try to raise the FSB as a means of HDD overclocking, as those things are not meant for that. the best way to get more performance out of a hard drive is to move the data so that it is stored on the outer edges of the platter, as that is the part that has the greatest linear speed. this is safe and can yield nice boosts.
