[SOLVED] Is it possible to use a laptop keyboard from another model

Hey,

I have a very old HP Pavilion g6 laptop that I recently cleaned and started using again. The only problem it has is the keyboard, some keys don't work at all. I found HP Pavilion g6 keyboard online and ordered it and I just found out that it has a very small difference in layout:

If it's indeed a compatible part then it should work fine.

However, you're replacing a British keyboard with a US one so you'll need to change the keyboard in Windows settings to make all the keys work as they should. Also, the US keyboard doesn't have the British Pound and Euro keys.
