Hello all

My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 REV 3.0 , and my PC always gets BSOD moments after I launch Assassin's Creed Origins , So one of the " Possible " solution i saw is to upgrade the bios to have the AGESA feature , So I went to Gigabyte website and saw that the latest Bios update for my Mobo and the only one to support AGESA is a Beta one

So I am not sure if it is safe/Stable to upgrade my old stable Version to a new Beta one

BETA BIOS are always an experimental BIOS and you'll soon find out that if you don't know what to do(and you certainly can't revert to an older BIOS) you're stuck between two immovable objects. I'd say to quit the idea of updating to BETA. Instead I'd ask you to pass on your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

How old is your PSU? Also, where did you source your copy of Assassin's Creed Origin's?

My Specs is as following

CPU : AMD FX 8350 4.0Ghz
Mobo : Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 REV 3.0
Ram : 2x4 Kingston + 8 GB Kingston
GPU : AMD R9 380 4GB
OS : Windows 7 64 bit

Regarding the PSU , it is 600W but I cant remember the model , But I didnt ever got a BSOD in any games and I run all games at Good Performance between 40-60FPS at medium settings , It is also a wide issue for people who own the game especially the ones with AMD FX 8350 processor

My version is the Uplay version

so someone said on Steam Forums that updating the bios to have the AGESA feature solved the problem to him/her and there are comments that agreed with him/her , so hence my question , but from the look of your reply , I rather not touch the game than breaking my PC

I tried some other workarounds including the one posted officially from Ubisoft to disable the " Cool & Quiet " Feature from Bios and set the performance to High Performance , but that changed nothing

We need to know what 600w psu that is as often this issue is related to a bad psu.

I cant seem to know its model from what is visible to me from the case and I cant find its box , But :

1-) Assassin's Creed origins is the Only game on my PC to do crashes/Freezes/BSOD from my dozens of demanding games
2-) It is a wide issue for people with AMD Processors especially the AMD FX 8350

Just open your case and look at the label.
