After seeing the 5700x news… I was thinking about upgrading my 3700x to 5700x, but will I get/see that much of a difference/benefit from it?
5700x performance is expected to be above 5600x and below 5800x
I mainly use my rig for video/photo editing (Photoshop + filmora + camtasia studio + obs) & general work (excel + word + access)
+ 1080p - 1440p 60fps gaming occasionally
So guys do you think 5700x performance is worth the upgrade? or better keep the 3700x and wait for ryzen 6000 - 7000?

Wait for the reviews.

Zen 2 to Zen 3 does have noticeable performance gains, but also Zen 4 is creeping up on the horizon. If you need something now, sure, upgrade, though upgrade to a Ryzen 9 as mentioned. But if you can wait, then wait.

Right, I'm happy/satisfied with my current cpu
But I said, maybe it's better to take advantage of the current platform
before the new one is released... as a last hurrah for am4
since am5 will require a new motherboard + possibly ddr5 ram

Then make your decision when Zen 4 and AM5 come out. But if you're worried about stock, then do whatever helps you sleep at night.

It's overpriced in general, not just your area...

Yeah right?
Although more than a year has passed since it launched + there is strong competition from Intel now

I’ve seen some cracking deals for it here. £400 at the moment and about a week ago one retailer had some for £354. At £354 I nearly bought it to upgrade my 3700X but I am going to hold out and see if I can actually get a 5800X3D in my basket at launch.

Wow! that's a super great deal
I would have bought it
