Question Is less than 1% packet loss expected?

I've been having trouble with my connection and I'm pretty sure it's the router. So I wired my desktop directly into the modem and have been running Ping Plotter all day. When I set the display to "all" under Focus and let it ride for about 2-5 hours, it shows 0.1% loss at the first node, roundtrip is 0.2%. Is this normal?

How does that % compare to the same test/testing while connected via router?

It drops many more packets far more often, if I run the test for 30 minutes, I'll usually get between 1-2% dropped
