I might be overthinking this, but I wanted to get your thoughts on whether I might have caused any short-term or long-term issues.

I recently purchased a brand-new ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC Edition. While removing the GPU from the PCIe slot to access some cables behind it, I made a mistake: I forgot to remove one of the plastic DisplayPort guards. This caused the GPU to get momentarily stuck in an awkward, angled position. The guard was wedged between the GPU bracket and the chassis wall, and I had to wiggle the GPU free with some force.

After removing the GPU, I inspected it closely and noticed some faint powdery residue on the PCIe interface, below the gold connector part of the PCB. I found a small scrape on the PCB itself (marked with a red arrow in the second photo). The scrape is hard to see and only visible from a specific angle. The PCB likely scraped or filed against a metal or plastic structure of the PCIe lane.

The GPU appears to be functioning perfectly fine so far—no noticeable issues in performance. I’ve also attached photos of the motherboard’s PCIe lane, which I think shows all the pins intact, as far as I can tell.

Since this GPU is brand new, I’m worried I might have caused damage to either the GPU or the motherboard’s PCIe slot.

Based on my description and the photos, what are your thoughts? Should I be concerned about this in the short or long term?
