Question Is LGA2011-3 Mobo backwards compatible with LGA2011-1 CPU?

Hi there, I'm looking to upgrade my current server to an E7-8850 v2 and need a new motherboard for it. I looked on CPU World and it lists the socket as LGA2011-1. I've tried around for a motherboard, but I can't find any LGA2011-1, only LGA2011-3. Is it ok to buy a v3 motherboard and use this CPU?

E7-8xxx CPUs require very specific motherboards. They were designed for 4 socket motherboards.
If you look at the Intel ARK page -- https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...n-processor-e78850-v2-24m-cache-2-30-ghz.html It shows that you have to have a C602J motherboard for that CPU (compatible products on the left side) .
Those CPUs are generally worthless because there is NO support for them.
