Hi,

What's inside my PC (Built in 2012):

Motherboard: ASUS P8-Z77-V Deluxe
CPU: Intel 3770k 3.50GHz (Stock Cooler and HyperThreading is off)
GPU: ASUS GTX 970 4GB STRIX
RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Storage: 1x120GB Corsair SSD Force Series 3 + 1x240GB Corsair SSD Force Series 3
PSU: 1000w HX Corsair Silver Certified
Case: CM Storm Trooper.

I bought an ASUS GTX 970 STRIX Edition today, and I immediately went and tested it in Unigine's Heaven Benchmark.

This is the result (you dont have to comment on the quality):

My question is, is this okay for this card? I tried to google it, but there were no systems that were close to mine, so I wouldnt really compare it to theirs.

I have +46mv, 15o added to core clock, added 327 to memory and I reach about 107 % powwer limit in games like borderlands the pre sequal and bf4 ultra settings

I advises to put the power limit to 110% just for the sake of.

Why is hyperthreading off? Why even bother with an unlocked processor if youre going to leave it at stock speeds?

Seems people in this thread are comparing scores while running at different resolutions.
EVGA 970 SSC ACX2.0 @ factory OC

This one is at 1600x900

This is interesting. My 4670k @ 4.5/ 780ti @1215/1800 hit ~2250 at 1600x900. Although im sure my motherboard cripples it slightly.

But benchmarking isnt everything.

Because I achieve a higher FPS if its off. But what do you mean with a unlocked processor?

How can it be that you get 10 fps more than my system at the same settings in Unigine Heaven 4.0?

A 3770K is a 3770 with an unlocked multiplier which means its basically designed to be overclocked.....

Oh, but the 3770k costed just about the same as the 3770 one back in 2012 in Denmark, and I didn't know the difference, so I thought that the money diffrence didn't really matter. But as the matter of fact, I was actually looking into overlocking the CPU to about 4.1 GHz, and buying a Corsair i80 Cooler. Its my boss at work whose going to do the overclocking, since I don't know how to do it 😛

Hi,

I did everything as you said.

Here's the OC

Unigine 4.0 OC = OFF/ON

Unigine 1.0 OC = OFF/ON

It can't be right that I HAVE to OC my GPU, so I can match others stock clock speeds and to get the same amount of FPS?

havent you been comparing them to 1600*900 resolutions?

When I get home from school, I'll try Heaven 4.0 and Valley 1.0 in 1600x900 and then compare then to the others benchmarks in the thread. But you're right, I was an idiot, and forgot to look at the resolution. I don't think there's anything wrong about graphics card then. I don't even think there's anything wrong about my system! I was just worrying to much, because I've had so many problems with my GTX 680, before I upgraded to the 970.

On my heavily ocd strix at max on 1600x900 I got 1950ish. I can remember the exact values right now but it was within 1940-1960. When drivers start to update that will sky rocket. Problem right now is that in one scene in heaven a lot of the new cards are experiencing droppings to like 8-12fps. This only lasts for a mille second and imo really screws with the score. OC your gpu and run firestrike. You should get 10300 to 10900. If you do your fine.

I totally forgot to include the firestrike benchmark. But I was supposed to run the Firestrike for High End PC's benchmark right? And dont fiddle with any settings or resolutions?

Are you saying that there's not really any good drivers for the 970 yet?

the drivers work fine, but it's the same for all new hardware, there is alot of room for some tweaking!

Hey,

Do you know how its possible for this guy to achieve these results, without me being near him?

http://cdn.overclock.net/5/5c/5cb957bc_Core1320.jpeg

His username is ChargeIt and he has responded further up in this thread.
Plus, the guy under him gets 64 FPS with a GTX 970.

Yea, its a lot better now with the Unigine 4.0! 😀 Overclocking done right I guess!

I've never used Firestrike before, so I'm still waiting for validation by other users, if my scores are okay :)

Firestrike isn't looking so good.. Your OC score is what a LOW stock score should get. 9600 is the low performing end for 1114mhz. /: might just mean you got slapped in the face really bad by the silicon lottery. Have you updated the latest drivers and windows updates? After you do that restart. I also want you to go to power options in the start menu and ensure it is on balanced and not power saver

Turned on Hyperthreading and then this is the result now.

That's good to hear! Thanks MasterDell :)

I turned it on in the BIOS under the CPU Configuration tab.
