Im getting 2mbs when downloading an hd movie, but Speedtest said i was getting 25mbs, How come I cant reach that speed? And my Wireless usb max is 54mbs..

Solution
I think the '2mbs" is actually 2MB/s which means 2 megabytes. Speedtest is measuring in megabits/s. There are 8 bits to a byte. As for the wireless connection at 54Mbps, that is the connection speed from your adapter to the router, there is overhead and error correction that goes on, so the maximum practical speed is 22-25Mbps.

Yep and also remember that ISP like to cook speed test results. Verizon, comcast, and other ISPs will give you your advertised speed during a speed test but in most real world situations you won't get that. They're not so inclined to give you the best possible speed all the time.
