So I have encountered a problem with my pc and seek urgent help.

So the story, my friends computer was displaying a no signal/no input error so I went to help him out by troubleshooting and then "stupidly" trying his parts on my rig.

His gpu and ram worked fine on my pc. So next I figured I would try swapping the cpu over. His cpu didn't work in my pc and my cpu didn't work in his.

Now my own cpu won't work in my own pc and is displaying the same no input message.

I've tried external gpu and internal gpu and new ram and still no fix.

My other concern is that all my lights turn on, the fans work, I can hear the hard drive and no beeping error sequence from the mobo.

I'm hoping to god that I just need a new motherboard but I'm worried I've now ruined both.

I've also tried removing the battery for the mobo and installing a new one.

Well yeah this is why I'm confused I took great care and had the grounding band on.

I had a little thermal paste residue on the outside of the cpu, from my hand not the internal square pin set the little set of pins around it, which I cleaned with isopropyl spray.

I'll tried the CMOS with the battery removal but haven't looked for a jumper so to speak as I was without the manual at uni.

And the sockets were the same yes.

I've done the cmos reset now and nothing.

I have noticed that my cpu socket has a couple of bent pins so do you think this is the problem?

The cpu itself is perfectly fine. 0 visible damage.
