Hello everyone , i have been having some issues with my GPU , when i bought the pc everything was fine but after a couple of months i started having really bad screen tearing and its not like the normal screen tearing we normaly see it looks like everything distorts whenever i move the mouse like little blurred squares also the gpu has really bad coil whine and sometimes also when booting entering the BIOS or opening games i get a GPU artifact for like 1 sec , i reseated the GPU on both slots still the same on the other slot the Coil whine gets even worse , i tried underclocking , overclocking , undervolting and still the same , could it be the PSU causing this or might it really be the GPU dying , also i feel like i should get better performance with this setup and i get really high fps drops even on CSGO with the lowest settings the fps should never drop bellow 144 fps and sometimes drops to 110 fps , i see people with the same setup or even worse setups and they play with no problems theyr games run very smooth , mine just doesnt feel right it feels blurry and its unplayable even playing minecraft it feels like poop

The artifacts i get when botting , entering the BIOS or opening games are like the image bellow

My setup is the following :

CPU: i7 8700 k at 4.5 ghz
GPU: GTX 1080 ARMOR 8gb
MB: ASUS PrimeZ 370 p
RAM: 2 x 8 gb Ripjaws at 2400 mhz
PSU: 630 w berlin 80 +
DISPLAY : MSI Optix Mag27c

Solution
Lines, artifacts and corrupted colours are signs of a dying GPU.
If it's still under warranty, RMA it.

I would also change the PSU to be of a reputable brand.

I will try to buy a new PSU then and see if it changes something any particular PSU you guys recommend?
im done of having a good pc and not be able to play when i get home from work its frustrating asf

You should not go cheap on the PSU. It's the heart of your system. I always have a rule. PSU is the 1/10th of the total cost of my tower.

Wattage does not matter if it's poor quality.
You should consider Corsair, EVGA, seasonic with a 80+ gold (or above) certification.

what you are saying is true but just generally stating that they should go for corsair.evga seasonic with 80+ gold or above isnt really helpful, corsair and evga have pretty bad models and seasonic has some too like the evo series. most 80+ gold arent really as good as some 80+ bronze.

so to be more accurate you can go for these.

True!
In almost every brand you find bad models. Most of the time they are replaced with their updated variants and since I always check as recent as possible I forget to suggest the same to others.

The ones you suggest are excellent

Hello guys , so i have been benchmarking my GPU because of poor gaming performance , no matter what i do my games run very poorly with a i7 8700 k and gtx 1080 8gb
my fps is very unstable , frametimes too , i dont know what else to do , in games i get really extreme screen tearing even with vsync / gsync i cant play at 144 fps caped because it tears like crazy if i let the fps unlimited the tearing goes aways but the gameplay feels laggy like ghosting , the only way it gets a bit playable is with gsync and Riva tuner with fps caped at 140 and since my fps is unstable it drops down very low causing stuttering , my CPU is allways working harder than my GPU , GPU never goes above 30% when gaming even with everything at max , i have been playing CSGO because i left other games i used to play because they were unplayable and came back to cs since its a old game expecting it would run well but no.... still the same
so i have been benchmarking to see if i can see what the cause of this is , when i benchmark i get better fps it drops a bit but not like when i game + i have no screen tearing at all when benchmarking , ill post my graphs from afterburner to see if anyone notices something wrong because i dont really understand much about this stuff ,

could it be my psu not having enough power to let the GPU work? because when benchmarking my power drops alot, then why does it go full load when benchmarking and when playing not? + i get really loud coil whining when above 200 fps , i tires switching PCI slots and gets worse it starts at 144 fps , im lost dont know what else to do , i spent so much money on this pc hoping it would run games that do not require alot but not , my 2014 machine ran csgo better than the current one , how can this be?
