Question Is my GPU dying ?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

You stated two games in your post, does this happen on all titles after a gaming session? To answer the question in your thread's title, a GPU would end up with a scrambled display, artifacted display or a black screen. To add, if you open up GPU-Z you should see zero(0)'s in some fields if your GPU conked out.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS with Radeon Graphics
CPU cooler: not sure
Motherboard: not sure
Ram: 16gb (unsure of the make)
SSD/HDD: (SSD) WD PC SN5000S SDEQNSJ-1T00- 1002
GPU: GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
PSU: Laptop PSU
Chassis: N/A
OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Home, version 10.0.26100
Monitor: N/A
Bios Version/Date: American Megatrends international, LLC. FA507NU.316, 2024-11-04

And no it doesn't happen with every game i open. Just some, and it seems to be the more graphically intense ones. Like dwarf fortress, Elin, and programs like Krita don't exhibit this symptom. They're more processor heavy. Good to know it probably isn't a dying GPU, but ive never seen this before. Last time my GPU died the top of a window (where the minimize/maximize/close are) would glitich out and perform a very odd pixelation pattern with white pixels before it started having green flashes on screen in games like POE2.

Do you have the latest Nvidia driver? I would personally do a driver clean up and reinstall. This kind of glitches is often caused by bugged graphics drivers.
I just did a driver update, if it continues I'll give that a shot. (Update: still happened. Uninstalled via device manager and reinstalled using express install via the NVidia app. Did not restart computer. (if that makes a difference.) Did not solve the ghosting issue

Update: when i reinstalled the driver, i was prompted to configure G-Sync. I turned that off and the problems solved. Thanks for the help guys!
