Hey, so I have a 3tb 7200rpm Seagate Hard Drive that suddenly went incredibly slow. The OS (Windows 10) is in my SSD and I have already tried formatting the HD and checking for bad blocks. What really worried me was the HDTune Benchmark results:

The HD has no files, it's completely empty. So do you guys think this is a physical problem in the HD?

Solution
So ...
272 relocated sectors and
2368 pending sectors.
Not good at all.
Pending sectors can be resolved with mhdd (scan and relocate) or with victoria software.

But yes. I have to agree with caiogl1111 here.
The drive can die completely any any moment. You can keep using it for some non-important data (you don't care about loosing).
Get a new drive.
He's dead, Jim.

The most hilarious thing is even SeaTools will probably tell you the drive's health is A-OK but if you contact Seagate support about this, they will issue you a RMA number right away anyway. Since at least Barracuda IV days they have programmed the firmware not to trip a SMART error during the warranty period in order to minimize RMAs--if the customer doesn't complain, then it doesn't cost them any money.

Similarly, I had a Super Duty that lost three cylinders (bad coil packs) and the computer simply turned off those injectors yet refused to trip the check engine light. While every European car I've ever had lit the dashboard up like a Christmas tree all of the time.

I see, sucks because I can't afford another one right now, but thank you.
