Is my i3 530@4.6 ghz with r9 270x or gtx 760 enough for next gen games ?

I have the cpu, going to buy the gpu. My monitor res is 720p. Not going to upgrade monitor.I'll be playing all games on ultra no aa , no vsync.I'm looking to hit 30+ fps on all new games like gta v, ac unity , fc4. Is it possible ?

gtx 760 can play all games but core i3 530 is a dual core procesor with4 mb Cache yes you can play some games more than 30 fps because gtx 760 is not a bad graphic card is a very good one with a better cpu you can play almos every game 😀

It's "possible" but in the long run, you are going to see your old i3 dragging you down in the end. Those GPUs that you mentioned shouldn't have too much of an issue running most games at 720p with the eye candy turned up. Since you do have your i3 OCed though, you might be able to squeeze another year or two out of it, but that is hard telling will how horribly next gen games have been brought over to PC recently... Unity is horrible on.. well.. everything really at this moment. and I;'m guessing that FC4 shouldn't be too bad since it's on the Cryengine which tends to scale fairly well with hardware. GTA V is unknown at this point though. I really hope this helps. You could always try and pick up a used i7 for your mobo on ebay or something to try to save some $ here and there too.!

Well atleast 2 year is fine for me on high-ultra.Thanks a lot guys.Currently , I don't have the money to upgrade my cpu.I'll do that later

One more question. Is my 4.6ghz dual core with H/T better than all Core 2 quads ? Also can it keep up with low end i5s ( stock 1st gen , i5 2400 etc.) ?
