is my internet connection wired?

So I have this pc for 3 years now but whenever my friends ask me if i have wireless or wired connection, I would always answer wireless because my modem is wireless. However, after searching around how to set up wired connection, I apparently have wired connection, but i want to confirm it.

here's how the ports connected.
phone/data cable > wifi modem > ethernet cable to PC

Also, can someone recommend me a good modem? i'm still using slow ass at&t modem and i only have 7.5mb/1.5mb d/u :X

yes, if there is an Ethernet wire coming from your modem or your router, to your pc, you have a wired connection.

we cant give you a recommendation on a modem if we don't know your service provider.

I'm using at&t provider and their modem.

have you contacted at&t? most service providers upgrade your old modem for free.

Not yet but i have heard a lot of bad things about at&t modems anyway.

but its... free? why wouldnt you call them upgrade it? you can go from bad to acceptable for nothing... or pay $100 for more than you need.
