Question Is my motherboard compatible with an i5-14600K out of the box ?

Can I use an i5-14600K CPU with an Asus Prime Z790 P WiFi motherboard out of the box?
At least until I get to the BIOS or to Windows to update the bios.

you will need at least BIOS version 1205 in order to operate the i5-14600K off that socket.

that BIOS version was released back in 2023/06/26, I'm assuming your board has that BIOS version. In the event that the BIOS isn't 1205, you won't be able to flash to that version since that particular board doesn't have any BIOS FlashBack or Q-Flash Plus or Flash BIOS button.

You're advised to have the latest BIOS version regardless to ensure your Intel processor is stable as of recent instability reports. I'd advise on picking a board that has a BIOS flash option.
