Is my motherboard compatible with cpu i5?

Hello, so basically my computer is quite old now, it's motherboard is from late 2008 to be precise...

This is my motherboard model:

I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade my computer by changing the cpu on this card? My current cpu is a core 2 quad can the motherboard handle the i5 cpu for example?

I would appreciate all the advice you guys can give me

Core 2 Quad is the end of the road for such an old board.
If you are wanting i5 you're in for new CPU, motherboard and RAM

And as for the motherboard, which brand of motherboard do you reccomend?
Like a good budget motherboard?

I have no idea aboout this, I would really appreciate some insight

There are a number of good brands. Which you choose will depend on availability in your area and pricing.
Look at Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI or Gigabyte.

Personally, I prefer Gigabyte or Asus.
