Question Is my motherboard power cable broken?

Built my PC and it failed to power up. As I unplugged everything, I realised 1 pin from my 24 pin PSU connector appears to have no metal in it. Is this normal, or do I need a new PSU?

No, that's not the problem - that pin is typically missing because it's for providing -5V power, which isn't used on modern PCs.

It's something else, so it would be helpful to have a full list of your specs.

What are your system specs? Let's try and trouble shoot it.

One pin should be missing....if you look at the motherboard connector, looking into the open ends that plugs into the motherboard, with the locking tab up, it should be the second pin opening to the right of the locking tab.
