Is my rig enough to run a Radeon RX 480/GTX 1060?

As the title says. My R9 270 is on the verge of demise. Now I'm interested to buy any of the mentioned cards. But I'm not sure if my pc hardware would support these cards.

Also, which one would be worth buying? Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Here is my rig-
I5 6500 3.2GHz
8 GB Ram (single channel)
Coolermaster GX 550w PSU

By the way I got a great to to buy a r9 380X. So, if I buy this gpu instead of rx480/gtx 1060, would my rig still be able to handle it? Sorry to bring up this thread again but I didn't want to open another one just for almost a similar question.
