is my sata connection is sata 1,2 or 3?

hi to all,
i want to replace my hdd to a ssd and i try to check my sata version.
with the software belarc advisor i find out that my Controller is:
Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller.
so what does it mean which sata connection do i have, sata 1, sata 2 or sata 3?

Long answer - please tell me the make and model of your motherboard?

Short answer - don't worry about it. Although Sata 2 bottlenecks an SSD, it still runs hugely faster than with a HDD. I doubt you have Sata 1 unless your computer is very very old. Just get a Samsung 850 evo, it will work great.

i will be glad if you can tell me which connection do i have. and my laptop was bought in 2013.
one more thing, why the Samsung 850 evo is your recommanded ssd, why it stands out from the rest?

My guess would be SATA 3 capable, but it would also have Sata II as well. It is a fairly late model system 3rd gen intel chip. Depends on how Dell decided to route things and which chipset they used.

Pretty much only the service manual might have an answer.

I would agree, it doesn't really matter. If you purchase a mid-range SSD you will still see vast improvements.

Samsung evo has been highly recommended for a few years, our family computers have four 850 evo's, plus one older 840 evo, and they are all still working very well.
One of the SSD is on an 8 year old Stata 2 AMD PC, it reduced the boot up time from 2 mins down to 35 seconds.

Samsung 850 evo will work great with Android Studio

No, I googled it with no success.
But like Eximo says, it is going to be either sata II or III, and a SSD is going to be great with either.
