I just custom built a pc with 790i ultra, Q6600, 9800GX2, and 4gb ddr3 @1333. My case is an Antec120, and my cpu cooler is a Tuniq Tower. My system's randomly crashing (once every few hours) during usage. When I was overclocking, I accidently set 3000 fsb to my cpu clock speed, and my bios wouldn't boot up for a few seconds when restarted. When it did restart, my cpu clock speed was reset to the 2.40 stock speed. I was wondering if that could be a factor in my crashing? It shouldn't have harmed my cpu though. My computer crashes indiscriminately now, no matter the clock speed. It would sometimes even crash when It's idle! I currently have my Q6600 O/C to 3.38, and my idle temp is 24 degrees celcius.
Also, when monitoring my cpu frequencies, it would jump between 3.375 and 2.250 (default speed is 2.40) Why is this?
