Is my water cooler compatible with my case?

Hi there, I am in the last stage of part selection for my new, and first, custom PC build and have come across a couple of possible issues.

I have selected all of my parts and priced the whole system up and have decided to use pcpartschecker.com to see if everything is compatible. Whilst doing so, the website informed me that my Corsair H110i GT water cooler was not compatible with my Riotoro CR1280 case. The case specifically specifies that it can hold 3x120mm fans or 2x140mm fans at the top (translating to a radiator of 140-360mm), so I can't see why my 280mm radiator wouldn't fit?

Incompatibility pcpartschecker Code: "Corsair - H110i GT 113.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler and RIOTORO - CR1280 PRISM RGB ATX Full Tower Case are not compatible."

I considered that maybe it was too thick and would clash with other components, however the H100i (thicker model) was compatible with the case, so I just cant figure it out.

Water Cooler: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hydro-series-h110i-gt-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

Case: https://www.riotoro.com/products/cr1280-prism-rgb-full-tower-case/#tab-tech-specs

Any help on this would be great, thankyou.

Also, the power supply I want to use (Corsair RM650i) states dimensions of 150mm x 86mm x 160mm, while the case has a max PSU support of 220mm x 150mm x 85mm. This means that although the PSU only takes up 2/3 of the case length, it JUST fits in with one of the other dimensions and is 1mm too large with the other. Is there enough wriggle room and leniency that I would be able to fit this PSU in the case or would it be a bad idea? Pcpartschecker doesn't pick up on this issue.

PSU: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/rmi-series-rm650i-650-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-psu

Many thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated. I didn't list my complete build as didnt think it wouldn't be necessary since it was only the CPU cooler and case that were not compatible and the PSU which wasn't too big, however I'm more than willing to do so if needed.

If you didn't know Riotoro was a brand that came straight off of some folks who were involved with case design within Corsair. On their product page, the cooler used in the demo is the BiFrost 240. You should however have no issues running the 280mm Corsair AIO at the top since it looks like it'll drop in.

Are you sure you want to build within the Riotoro case? There are better alternatives out there like Fractal's Define C in TG.

I was unaware of that, thanks for confirming. And I just loved the design of the riotoro CR1280 and couldn't find anything that I liked as much. I will look at the cases you suggested though.

Also do you have any opinions on my power supply issue?

According to everything I could find, that riotoro case only has support for 120mm fans. The Corsair H100i is a 240mm radiator uses 2x 120mm fans while the H110i is a 280mm radiator and uses 2x 140mm fans, so is incompatible.
The psu is iffy. The 160mm is the length, which is fine, the 150mm is the width, pretty standard for a psu with a 135/140mm fan. Still no problem. The issue might be the 86mm which is the height and has to be under the psu shroud. It will fit, no worries, if you don't use the shroud, but that's half the reason to buy the case, looks. It would work if the shroud was not perfectly attached, it's just 1 mm so may or may not be an issue depending on how accurate the case measurements are vrs any actual clearance.

The Riotoro comes with 2 x 120mm fans on front, 1 x 120mm fan on rear, however they can all be exchanged for 140mm fans. There is then a slot for a 120mm fan on the bottom and either 3 x 120mm fans on top or 2 x 140mm, which I figure is easily enough for the 2x140mm radiator, right?

And in relation to the PSU, would it b advisable to select another or purchase the case first and measure? What would you suggest?

I would advise against it since the case does look cramped.

If what you're saying about the fans is true then the holes/sleds located towards the center of the case are for 92mm fans? Please look at the image I posted above.

The front definitely holds both 120mm and 140mm fans

Then you found more info than I did lol. Even the riotoro specs, faq etc on the Riotoro website only listed 120mm fans available. Which I did think kinda strange for a case capable of eatx mobo's. But I've seen stranger things, like mid towers with 80mm and 92mm exhausts. There's even 1 case that I know for sure will accept 140mm fans at top exhaust, but will not fit a 280mm radiator because of the spacing set between the fans.

Whomever over at Riotoro is doing their website should be slapped. The available info is poor the extreme. In one part they claim 180mm of air cooler space, in another they claim its got 165mm of clearance so will fit most aircoolers. They need to take a look at Phanteks or Fractals website. Everything is listed that's important.

Yeah for sure, so many different pieces of information everywhere. Each review specifies something different also! Not to mention their customer service is pretty awful, I contacted them about the fans issue and they sent me an automated email with their manual and didn't actually answer my questions at all. So I then tried to contact them via Facebook, they read the message and didn't reply (still haven't) and I then asked them another question about the PSU size and was completely ignored AGAIN..... After looking in to new cases ivedecided to go for the Thermaltake View 71 TG instead... WOULD NOT recommend Riotoro, any issues and you're on your own, even before you buy it!

I noticed that in the Faq section. Every question was sorta answered except for the one asking about the fans. I think the deal breaker for me would have been that the RGB is one of the main parts of the looks of that case yet if the fans suck and you want to use others, you can't and still use the RGB controller. For those without RGB capable mobo's, that's kinda important feature.

For a small company trying to make a name up against stiff competitors like Phanteks, Fractal Design, Corsair etc, you'd think they'd be all over the chance to impress with customer service.

Yes that is a good point, I was just very hung up on the design as couldn't find any I liked. But this Thermaltake View 71 TG case is growing on me already.

And yes you would think they would at least say "sorry we are busy it could be a long wait" or something of that sort, instead of either not really reading my question and just sending me a manual or simply ignoring me. In a way, I'm kind of glad though because even the reviews for this case seem MUCH better and I am starting to like it a lot.
