Hello. I read that if i lock PCI-EX than PCI is automatically locked. I really need to know this otherwise i am toasting my system.

Asus P5KPL-VM
Intel E2180

OC:
CPU: 200 -> 241
RAM: 800 @ 667 because of fixed multipler 3/5 for 667 or 1/2 800 Mhz ram.
PCI-Ex: 100

Thanks.

Solution
RTFM? Do you even have anything plugged into the PCI bus? I believe most bios's would have PCIe =100, and PCI = 33. A good bios will allow you to adjust them individually, or lock them at X number. Again, read your manual to see what yours can do.

Ok, found it. There is no setting for PCI bus, but the manual says that recognition of FSB is fixed. So for FSB = 800 MHZ, 200 mhz is sent to system bus as well as PCI bus. And i guess when i will change the 200 to 240, i will get 40 MHZ PCI bus, which is dangerous. I suppose we need to keep it at 38 or below? I will have to downgrade to 227 Mhz for < 38 Mhz.
