Is PCIe2 the same as PCIe 2.0

It says PCIe2 where my gpu is but on my website about my motherboard, https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/760GMA-P34-FX.html#hero-specification says that there is a PCIe 2.0 (assuming that gen 2 is 2.0)

Yes, if the motherboard does Gen3 and card does Gen2, the board will negotiate down to Gen2. As long as both are PCIE and it fits in the slot it should not be a problem.
