Is RX 580 able to play at 1440p 144hz with this desktop?

I am planning on building a new pc and i was wondering if Rx 580 could run on high graphics 1440p at 144hz (with 60 fps or more) if not what's the suggest Hz to use?
So my build is:
CPU: Intel core i7 8700
GPU: Rx 580 8gb
RAM: HyperX 16GB Fury
Mother board: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P
Samsung 250 GB SSD

Monitor in mind: AOC AGON AG241QX QHD wide 144hz freesync

I cant afford a Vega64 and the difference is quite big, i dont wanna low my resolution at all but only the Hz even tho i am willing to buy a 144hz monitor i could turn it to 100hz right?

What do you think about dropping the monitor's Hz at 100 and still 1440p would it work well?
I dont need ultra settings high are okay for me

144Hz means the monitor can only effectively work as 144FPS, more FPS can not show diff. It is a cap, not something monitor needs to adapt to. If you already have the monitor, just play with 1080p resolution @ ultra or 1440p with med-low settings :)

Ah i see so i can't do it this way, but what if i find a different 100hz monitor at 1440p would it be a decent choise? (btw if you got any in mind i would like to know)
I just really wanna live the 2k dream with more than 60hz

Why would the gpu push lower fps from turning the monitor's hz lower? cant get it

Not really, again 144 or 100 is a cap, means you have 120 FPS, the first monitor will refresh 120 frames per second, the second monitor can only do 100 frames, understand? keep your 144 HZ monitor. It is the output from pc is only limited to certain refresh rate due to GPU not powerful enough. And if your pc only output 80 FPS, the 100 and 144 monitors will display exactly the same.

To live the dream of 2k at above 60Hz you really need a better gpu than a 580. The 580 is great for 1080p 60Hz and ok for 1080p 100Hz plus but it really falls short for 2k. If you delay your build could you save more for a better gpu?

Hang on its obvious what to do. Drop the 8700 to a 8600/8600k and invest the extra money in a better gpu.

Okay i am so stupid thanks for making this all clear to me i can get it now...
So you say that i cant play at 1440p with more than 60hz monitor and get a decent fps of 60 with high graphics on demanding like games?

Okay that could make a sence so what graphic card around 400 euros or sth could work with 1440p and 144hz?

Have you purchased any of above components yet? If not, downgrade your CPU to I5-8600k or even 8400 like sizzling suggested, put the extra money on a Vega56 :) Your 580 is the limit for 1440p, CPU is more than enough. Only improve your GPU can get you better FPS @ 1440p

I would gladly do but Vega would need a new power supply, plus the cost even after lowering my cpu to 8600k wouldn't be enough to afford...
btw i havent baught anything yet

$80 for 5fps more at best? LMAO, nope.

but that's not for 1440p or it doesnt matter?

CPU refresh rate is kind of independent of GPU. In the test, best GPU 1080ti is used, so no bottleneck on GPU side, CPU limit shows up. So assume GPU is no problem, CPU bound will decide how much FPS you can get in any resolution for that game.

Its this one altough its in Greek so i guess its gonna be a little hard, thanks a lot for your time explaining things, i will be gladly waiting for your ideas tomorrow have a good night!
