Is the Creative X-FI SB088 Worth getting nowadays?

Im planning on making a gaming pc, and someone offered me a Creative X-FI SB088 for $5 i looked online and saw it on ebay for $35, does this card still hold up compared to the other cards? or should i just pass on it and buy something newer once i actually get the pc built?

It really depends on the chipset the MoBo you will use has.

The basic chipset (ALC892) is equivalent to a $40 sound card .... ALC1150 ~ $70 sound card
