Hello, I just received a replacement 14900k CPU from Intel, as the 13900k had burned out due to the infamous issues with them. The first thing I did was update the BIOS of my
Asus RoG Hero Maximum 790Z motherboard to the latest version.
I expected everything to finally be fine, but now the computer is once again cutting power when placed under load - just as it used to do with the previous CPU. I'm not getting blue screens, but I'm concerned I may be killing this CPU too now.
Was the Intel 13th - 14th gen fix just an matter of updating the mobo BIOS or is there something else I need to do ?
