Hi,
I'm planning to buy a Lenovo P520.
Is it a good computer, for occasional gaming, Audio and Video creation ???
If I add some NVMEs and a Radeon RX 7600, will it be durable and enough powerful ? I would like to buy a computer that will still be powerful in the next years.
What the good price for a Thinkstation P520 ?

P.S : I Live in France.

thanks for your help.

You're looking at a workstation machine, which has a Quadro card in it, they aren't very good gaming cards but are excellent productivity cards. Out of curiosity, how much are you paying for said prebuilt? There's also the matter of Lenovo having multiple variants of the P520, which SKU/variant are you looking at?

I would like to buy a computer that will still be powerful in the next years.
Why not just build a PC from the ground up, one that will last you about 5 years? If you want to exercise this route, you'll need to create a new thread in Systems section, the stylize your thread with info asked of in this thread;
and the community can chime in with worthwhile suggestions.

What is your budget? Preferred site for purchase?

Hello,
Buying a Lenovo Thinkstation P520 is cheaper than a built pc, according to the specs.
My budget for buying it is around 400€.
There is a lot of these computers on eBay, so I think it's a good option.
I thought about the P520c, do you think it's a god idea ? Thanks.

You might be better off looking for a more conventional pc.
A workstation will have a non traditional psu.
A stronger graphics card in the future might require a psu change that is hard to find.
The Xenon processors are ok, but not exactly gaming quality.
Perhaps comparable to a I3-10100

The CPU seems like a good choice.

I would recommend faster RAM. because the mainboard supports up to 7600 Mhz. That's about one and a half times as fast as the one you chose.

The case is quite cheap . But there are so many cases nowadays. I would suggest some case with fans included . That's often a bit cheaper than buying them separatly.

If your budget is 400 you won´t be able to buy this configuration ( 838 Euros not including case fans ).
