Is the Nikon 3200 a good camera for video?

I'm looking at getting a DSLR camera for photography as well as to record videos of anything from concerts to nature. The maximum that I can spend right now is between $800 and $1000 but as a student if I can get away with something a little cheaper that'd be great. I've been looking at the Nikon 3200 and 3300 and can't really decide between the two.

Another question I have is regarding whether I should pick up a kit with lenses included or just get the body and select what I want individually. I've been reading a lot of articles including this one. From here it looks like I should definitely pick up a 35mm f/1.8 lens but I'm not sure what else to get that will fit in my price range.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

However, if you are looking for a video camera, you should go with a camcorder - Sony has many good models.
