Is the Thermaltake Tr2 430w good?

Hey everyone!,

I have the Thermaltake Tr2 430w 12v 2.2 Power supply ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023 )

I am concerned that it might not be sufficent for my setup, i have read some reviews saying that it is onl y a 350w PSU, even so, is that enough?

Intel core i3 2100 @ 3.10 ghz
Saphire Radeon 6850
acer motherboard (not sure about specs)
1tb HDD
1 CD drive

Anything else i should include?
It runs fine at the moment but im worried that it might fail and take some parts with it...Please tell me if im okay with setup, if not what is a good PSU for around 40-60 $?
Also, i use my PC for gaming, games such as Skyrim and Mafia 2, if that helps.

You need a new psu, they say it's only 350w because of the amps on the 12v rail. On a single rail psu you take the amps*12 (because theres 12 volts) to find how much power it will actually deliver. When you have two or more rails things get trickier. Either way even 430w is just barely enough,

if you are self concioused on cost,

the antec vp 450 should fit the need

Yeah that one seems like a pretty reasonable price, but i dont think that it is 80+ effinciency...i'm not really that good with copmuters, will that mean less watts/amps? or just more expensive on the power bill? (im a n00b)

Never mind, the antec vp 450 is 80+ efficiency, it just doesnt say on Newegg. Im going to buy it i think.

they all are 80+, I'm not sure if the vp is or not, normally it should say so on the sticker.

Antec doesnt make any PSU's at all, Neither does Corsair. both of these companies have issued out psus mostly from seasonic, which is why they get praised alot, as seasonic is experienced with this kind of work. other psu makers that the consumer doesnt hear much about is CWT, which they make several of the psus which sit in alot of peoples builds.

For instance, heres Antecs lines of psus. The column that says OEM is the actual manufacture who made the psu, and Antec just has their name on it.

Ahh i see how it is, besides computers I work on cars and back in the day many car companies did this kind of thing as well. Cool links to bookmarking the last one to keep that in mind when I buy a new psu. (hopefully not for at least 5 years i just bought one for a lot of money.)

I read in the reviews/feedback for the VP 450 on newegg and someone said that it was 80+ efficiency, im not sure if that is true but it seems good, everyone had good things to say about it.... But is it worth buying? it seems like a pretty good deal for 40$, also im not going to be upgrading anything qith my PC besides RAM because my mobo doesnt hav any more gfx card slots.(sorry for all the questions)

Also, i just read the review that Dudewitbow suggested and hardware secrets sais that it is actually a 80+ efficiency PSU, but it cant get the sticker and stuff because it doesnt have a PFC circuit.
