So I had to replace my wi-fi card in my laptop, and I'm having trouble reconnecting the tiny wires to the card. It's a Lenovo T440p if that matters, but I think all new laptops are about the same. I cannot seem to get the wires to snap into place on the card. Are these the type of connectors that must be soldiered into place once you remove them?? Any advice would be helpful, as my last resort is to just get a nano USB adapter as I don't want to invest much more time in getting this to work again.

I've done some YouTube searches, but they don't really explain how to reconnect them (if there is a clasp or something that I'm missing)--or the video doesn't actually show the attachment (or the person has their hands in the way, etc)

Solution
I'll have to try a magnifying glass. It's so frustrating that I'm about at the point where I'll just pay to have them re-attached (take it to a repair shop) even though I've built dozens of machines (PCs), I've just not dealt with these little things very much... The older cards that had the huge connectors were easy, but these things are so tiny, even with my small hands I can't seem to get it lined up. I'll try the magnifying glass though first, and then use the repair shop if I can't get it figured out. I was going to just get a USB wifi device, but I don't really want to have to worry about carrying it around, etc.

They just push down, if you have them crooked they won't fit, and they may get bent, in which case they won't fit at all. Make sure both sides are round now since you may have bent them while trying to get them on.

Solution
I'm pretty sure they got bent by me trying to push down too hard and having them on incorrectly. I have since then just decided to go with a micro-USB wi-fi adapter and be done with it. Can't get one that does AC speeds, but N300 will have to do (which is fine because the laptop is only used for Office work--accounting/MS Office/email so N300 is fine).
