hi today I saw that some of my cabinet's front panel's wires are damaged (peeled) and i dont know how but the question is will keeping them connected to the motherboard damage it

or should i use a ups with this psu
UPS is not going to remedy a poor quality PSU.

but i saw some people are using this same psu from 5 years or more without any problem whats the case what should i do now im confused and afraid 😟
Seen PSU's like this not last 5 minutes. The PSU is a crucial component and not a good place to skimp when building.

If you replace junk PSUs with new junk PSUs, you'll be in a constant cycle of constantly spending far more money on junk PSUs -- and sometimes, broken components -- than if you just bought a a decent PSU once.

Junk PSUs are like drunk driving for PCs. Most drunk drivers don't get into car crashes; it doesn't mean that driving drunk is safe, wise, or responsible just because you got home safely.

A UPS of safe and usable quality is typically far more expensive than any low-wattage but otherwise well-made PSU.

Unless the alternative is no PSU and no computer, stay away from that brand like the plague.

Actually, let me rephrase that: A UPS that's safe to use and gonna do anything about poor power quality is going to be much more expensive than any typical PSU.

Please, for the continued functionality of the rest of your computer and your own safety, get a decent PSU. Even a 200-250W one would have been fine for your current build.

should i go for an antec vp 450, is it a reputable brand ?

The full range input version of that power supply is decent, however that model only supports 230v.

This can be an issue for areas where your voltage may drop below that on occasion
yeah the voltage in my area sometimes drops to 210v and gets ups to 255v what should i go for please recommend a psu which is available in India

please i need help, I was using my PC like the way usual. The next day my computer wont turn on
power supply fans work
but the computer fans wont work
you have to check all components step by step, the most common faulty components in a problem like this is your ram or mobo try checking them one by one

Please elaborate what you have done to solve the issue
your PC specs and everything
i dont know really
i have a 430 VGA card and a i3
my CPU fan works and my keyboard lights turn on when i plug them to the PC, but when i press the power button it turns on and the moniter wont show it
i tried cleaning the ram, i tried plugging the vga cable to the original motherboard port, i checked the cables also
and i searched for some videos online to check if the power button was the problem, they said to shorting the cables for like a sec would turn it on but the thing is all my pwr LED and pwr SW and HD LED button are connected using a connector - i want to know if the HD light and the power light is important when turning on the computer is needed and will it shock me
can you pls reply

Hi, so my friend just decided to build a pc so he cant decide which psu to buy and i also dont have a good one so ill also change my psu.
my friend's new PC's specs-
i3 9100f
rx570
ssd 120gb,320gb hdd
8 gb ram
we have researched so much and confused btw the cooler master mwe and corsair cv
here are the links for both of them
cv450- https://mdcomputers.in/corsair-cv450-80-plus-bronze-cp-9020209-uk.html?sort=p.price&order=ASC

mwe 450 - https://mdcomputers.in/cooler-maste...pe-4501-acabw-bin.html?sort=p.price&order=ASC

Neither of these are good PSUs to pair with a GPU that requires supplementary power.

We host a curated PSU tier list here. Below a Tier B PSU would not be appropriate with an RX 570.
