Is there any Advantages/Benifits on 4133 mhz 16 GB RAM on 4266 mhz Motherboard while CPU is 2666 mhz? OR its just wasting money on higher frequency RAM & MOBO?

All Intel CPUs say 2666mhz limitation if they are 8th or 9th gen. That doesn't mean anything. That is only the non-OC/XMP default speed that the CPU supports. Anybody who has even basic understanding of CPU and memory architecture will know this.

And to be clear, he's not talking about the speed of the CPU. He's talking about the memory speed shown to be supported by the CPU in it's product specifications.

Oh my bad I see, I thought CPU speed.

Fast RAM won't make a huge difference in games but going from 2666 to 4133 will surely make appications faster.

Going fron 3200 to 4400 bumped the fps by 10fps. You are better off saving that money for a better GPU.

The stock RAM speed of Intel cpu's like the 9900k is 2666Mhz. OC'ing the IMC by increasing the RAM speed will increase performance but is overclocking, xmp is an overclocking profile. Tightening the RAM timings as far as they will go, will give a hell of a lot of extra performance. See above 12k score time spy cpu for the 9900k. This is why people increase RAM voltage above 1.35volts and up too 1.5volts. To get tighter timings and faster speeds. G.SKILL have a kit @ DDR4-3600MHz 32GB (4x8GB) kit with a very efficient timing of CL14-14-14-34.

There is also a 4000CL15 kit, from G.Skill as well. All samsung b-die as far as I can tell. https://www.anandtech.com/show/15002/royal-memory-gskills-32-gb-ddr4-4000-cl15-kit

With Ryzen 3800x/3900x/3950x there is https://www.anandtech.com/show/1469...nt-z-neo-ddr43800-cl14-kit-for-amd-ryzen-3000 if you don't mind a 1.5 volt RAM voltage.

Tightening the RAM timings to be a low as possible is what gives the most performance, not just reaching x high frequency.

Another thing to consider is at some point you will become GPU bound, so increasing the CPU's frequency and RAM speed and timings won't get you extra performance.

This is all, ALL, speculation, until we know what the hardware is. But basically, for ANY current consumer platform, whether it is AMD or Intel, anything beyond 3600mhz is an actual waste of money for gaming.

I know for sure that 3800/IF1900 is the maximum for AMD Ryzen 3000. With samsung b-die you can buy 3600 CL16 RAM 1.35volts and just OC to 3800 CL16 at 1.35 volts. I did.

Beyond 3733mhz you decouple the infinity fabric on Ryzen. Makes it not even really worth doing. You're better off at 3600mhz.

I am running IF1900 and 3800CL15 at the moment. The hard wall is around 1917 for the IF. Not all ryzen 3000 cpu's can hit 1900 IF. You can still manually set IF to 1900 and RAM to 3800. This will net you good performance. 3733 is IF 1866. 3600 is IF 1800.

On that graph the minimum latency is 67ns, I am at 63ns in aidia64. IF 1866 is 64ns latency aida64 with my RAM. There is a hard wall after 1900 where the CPU will not boot but I am lucky, for the moment IF 1900 is stable. So I tightened the timings for the RAM so that I can complete the Ryzen DRAM calculator easy RAM test within 102 seconds.

This nets me the same performance as a 9900ks with 3200 RAM. I get a 11550 time spy cpu score maximum if I set pbo on, limits motherboard and scalar to x10 (no other scalar value does anything at all). If I leave scalar to x1 I get 11300-11400 time spy cpu score. (Really cold air temps 11500 and normal room temp with heater on 11300-11400.) This is with a 360 custom water loop with full copper block.

Here is a 9900ks with CL14 3200 RAM, 11192 time spy cpu. https://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/luke-hill/intel-core-i9-9900ks-5ghz-8c16t-cpu-review/7/

Note the 5.2GHz speed has a time spy cpu score of 11472.

Core i9-9900KS CPU: Intel Core i9-9900KS ‘Coffee Lake’ 8 cores, 16 threads (5.2GHz @ 1.375V overclocked). 16GB (2x8GB) G.Skill TridentZ 3200MHz 14-14-14-34 DDR4 @ 1.35V.

A 9900ks with faster RAM with timings set to as tight as possible, the 3800x can't match a 9900ks. Bad RAM makes the 9900ks perform within the range of a good 3800x OC. With the 3800x most if not all of the overclocking is with the RAM. Set IF 1900 and RAM 3800. Try to reach CL15 or CL14 under 1.45-1.5 volts DRAM.

The 3800x is cheap and fast, with the abba bios I boost to 4-4.449Ghz in games all cores. I do not appear to be slower than the 9900ks (RAM above) in games.
