Hi,

I have a Notebook from Asus S410U(X411UN) which I have for it for 2 months give or take and it was brand new and came stock with bios version 300. I remember when back in 2019 when I just got it that it ran very smooth in many games in Medium-High preset (World of Tanks or GTA 5 for example)with 60fps or more, and after some time I saw that it has a bios update which took me to version 310 of BIOS which was HORRIBLE with a LOT of stutter in games so I choose to go to Asus support page to download the older and used the command ("C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\WinFlash\WinFlash.exe" /nodate) so it will take it,but when I clicked update it said this..Please help me...

PS: I tried another version of bios which ,yes worked, but it's not as close that good as stock version..And I say it's bios fault because just after I installed the new bios all of this happened. Sorry for bad english or writing..

You should forgo any hope of reflashing your BIOS or even downgrading it. In fact, you should look at making sure you're on the latest BIOS version. After that, make sure you're on the latest drivers for your platform, by manually downloading and installing them in an elevated command, i.e Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

You should also try using DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers and reinstalling said GPU drivers with the latest from your GPU maker's support site.

FYI, trying to revert to an older BIOS unsuccessfully can result in an expensive paperweight. It's exactly why it's advised that updating BIOS can and will be risky if you don't know what you're doing or if you have the wrong version for the wrong laptop.

I done already the complete uninstall of the video card drivers with DDU and reinstalling them to the latest version.
And I'm 100% sure that the BIOS I was trying downgrading was the good one because I used the serial number to get the drivers and BIOS.
And yes I know the risks that the BIOS can fail even in an update.
