Question Is there any way to control when Laptop starts charging?

I'd like to have the convenience to keep my charger plugged into my laptop, but I'm worried that it will damage my laptop if it is continuously charging. Is there any way to control when the battery gets charged (like after 10% drops or at 90%)?
