Im a serious competitive csgo player and recently i started to notice how many streamers are paying people to "optimize" their pc for lowest input lag and highest fps and everyone said that it worked for them and of course its a paid service.
Now what i want to know if its some actuall <Mod Edit> or are there actually ways/programs to get rid of background processes / allocate memory and make my game work as good as it can on my system. I got i3 12100f, 2x8GB 3200mhz and a gtx1650 super. If there is could someone guide me through that? Im on windows 11 in case it isnt clear

I’d take a look at this and especially the comments about reaction times of humans. My personal experience for fps is a high quality monitor with independently tested low response times (what the manufacturer claims is irrelevant) and as little ghosting as possible makes the biggest difference. Also finding the best mouse, for me the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. I was surprised how much better for me this mouse was compared to other good fps mice.

For you, the keyboard, mouse, and monitor sections would be the best to look at. If you aren't already running at least a 144hz TN panel, that is where you should start, if not a 240hz one.

Probably don't have to go as extreme with the keyboard and mouse, but there are certainly better mid-range keyboards under a hundred, and lots of at least 1ms latency Mice out there. I actually use a cheap gaming mouse at work, just because I like them. Logitech G305, and there are plenty like it. Those 8000Mhz ones they mention are pretty pricey, but are what you would really want.

In your situation I would get a second drive, put an OS on there and CS:GO only, plus whatever else you minimally need. I would run through all the anti-Windows telemetry hacks out there to get rid of anything that takes network bandwidth, run without AV, get rid of everything from startup, etc.

Otherwise, you would want to consider replacing most of your system at extreme expense.

There are quite a few tools out there for optimizing the OS, not sure I trust any of them.
