Hello,

I ordered a new cooler, the nh d15s from noctua and some thermal paste. I searched for the best one and got krryonaut. Now I am reading threads about people who say that it is degrading really fast and drying/scratching and denting cpu. Is this true? I also saw that above 80 degrees it will indeed degrade, but with stock cooler it will never go above 75 with cinebench r20. Should i just use this paste or order another one?

Solution
I also saw that above 80 degrees it will indeed degrade
Not above, but around 80C or higher.

It's not a paste I'd recommend using if:
-in the middle of stress testing cpu/gpu overclocks. Better to use it after all that testing is done. Kinda axx-backwards, if you ask me.
-Ryzen 3000-5000 due to their boost algorithms. Hydronaut would be better as it doesn't share that high temp weakness.

What makes this even crazier is that there are fakes in the mix. I kid you not.
I ordered a tube of Conductonaut, and it came with a card - Certificate of Origin - with a code on it for me to look up and confirm the batch was legit:

I have a ryzen 7 3700x so i could better use the noctua nt-h1 that comes with it? Is that one really worse? And is the noctua nh-t1 worse than arctic mx-4? (sorry for so much question, first time changing a cooler and pasting)
