I have found this deal in a nearby outlet that sells an Acer Aspire 7 laptop with i7-7700HQ,8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, GTX 1050Ti 4GB for around $817.
I am kind of not sure if the HDD will be good enough cuz it could be a 5400rpm one?
Anyone with any experience with Acer laptops?
Cuz I just want to use this for gaming and Uni.

Ssd makes huge difference in laptop, it’s quieter and your app loads much faster.

I suggest find one with ssd, or if you don’t mind the warranty, you can get a 240 ish ssd and a hdd enclosure for less than $100, plus, clone the drive to ssd and swap hhd out, and use the hdd for storage.

Are you sure it's a 1050TI and not a 1050? I can't find any Aspire7's with a 7700HQ and a 1050TI. (1050 or 1060 appears to be the options).
I could definitely be wrong, but just make sure the specs are accurate.

For the money, I'd say it's an "ok" deal - BUT, it'll depend on your specific location/availability.

For example, some options in the US:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1TS-000X-00S36
i5 + SSD and the same spec otherwise for $700

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1TS-000X-00S36
Similar deal to above, $750

Would make the Aspire7 an "ok" deal at best.

But, given you stated "around $817".... I'm assuming you're probably not in the US? So the $ equivalent doesnt matter much at all.

The 5400rpm drive will be slower in boot/load/save times but, in actually functionality for gaming or "normal" workloads, it's usable.
If you're accustomed to an SSD already though, reverting to any HDD can be tough... let alone a 5400rpm drive!

Yeap, I asked the salesmen repeatedly after checking the label and he told me the same thing - it's a GTX 1050Ti
And, yeah I don't live in the US. I'm kind of worried about the HDD aswell but having a 256GB model is about $50 more.
It's this one : https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AE/content/model/NX.GP9EM.001

256GB SSD is about $50 more? If so, I'd definitely get the SSD.

But then that would be less space to store games right? Cuz definitely going to be 200GB max to store stuff.
