Well, here we are at last. It has been such a pleasure.
Alright, after 8 different posts on the subject and countless hours of research, I think that I might just have a winning build! I want to say thank you to the entire Tom's Hardware community for helping me get to this point, especially jay2tall, who influenced my build the most, and azeem40, for being the first reply I ever got. I'm not going to overclock, but I want to play Skyrim with mods on high setting with at least 40 fps.

why have you got 2 entries for RAM totalling 24 gb?

you need 2 x4 gig . More than that will give no performance increase for a gamer
Make sure its rated for 1.5 volts or less

The antec 300 is a good case but its outdated . An the same price the Antec ONE has a front USB 3 port , or get the Antec 300 TWO for about $20 more

how bout nao?

if you are buying it anytime soon, always remember to take advantage of comboing stuff.

i5-3330 + asus drive 198$ which imo is a better price point as i personally dont think the extra money for a higher clock but not unlocked is not worth it.

if you still want the i5-3550:
here it is

I could spend time doing other changes to the build but it would possible radically change it overall.

I am open to any and all suggestions, just keep in mind i'm on a budget.
