I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Solution
Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

Do you need an OS? If so you could tack one on the end of this, if not you could always get an SSD.

Alright then. Thanks guys! I was so troubled over this. Just a passing question, do you think the new processors could fit within the budget and be compatible with the other parts? Also, will the rig work with future games coming out? And that if the prices of these parts will drop any by the time the new processors come out. Or that any better parts could drop prices and become my parts. I am looking to purchase near August-November. ANY reply is appreciated.

The new intel CPUs will come out and the current gen ones will only drop by like $10.

No, new intel CPUs won't be compatible with a current board. They will use a different socket.

The rig will work with future games for sure. It's not very optimized. I could make something better if you like.

You can't just say " Intel is much much better than AMD" with out stating any evidence at all. Here's some YouTube video's that have done legit benchmarks of the fx-8350 against all hole load of Intel CPUs.

Yes Intel's flag ship is better than AMD's flag ship, but the Intel costs almost 7 times more than the AMD.

@tiny voices
I would very much like the better solutions.

@SamGriffiths
So.., considering that Intel is way better than amd, and my budget, which one would you think could help me more, last longer, offer more etc.?

Much better build. 2 7970 crossfire will max any game out there for the next 2 years.

If you watch those videos you will see that the AMD on on par with the Intels that cost $50 more, they will both last you a good 3/4 years most likely more, even more with that cooler I put in there, as the games now start optimizing for more cores due to the PS4 and the 720 having an 8 core your performance in games should increase with the AMD.

Before everyone starts raging at me for being such an AMD fan boy, if the budget was higher I would recommend an i7 3990x or what ever but in this price range AMD kicks ass.

@ballerslife Why not get a HD 7990, it's about the same price and you don't have to worry about all the pains in the ass you get with Crossfire.

@SamGriffiths
I would really like your opinion on the other rigs that great people like ballerslife and tiny voices recommended.

Also, as i am new to assembling my own pc's, is it easy? I have heard people say that it is, but none of that has been convincing me that i will not mess it up... help!

If i take away the 7970 or a gpu, or both, how would that affect the system, it's performance, and it's capabilities and good life?

I have watched the video already, though not finished it.

Also, what would i replace the 7970 with to ensure excellent performance?
