I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7782889&sku=B69-1560

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.98 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung...
Just to sorta recap, i want the best pc that can provide me with gaming ability in ultra for the next few years without updating my rig. The budget is $1400, maximum stretch $1500. Buying the parts and assembling at about august-november. Best rig till now is the one by manofkryptonak. Still looking for better ones. Thanks for all the help guys. And i hope you guys will keep me updated if you find or think of any better rigs. You are all amazing.

That a nice build, sorry about getting all my facts wrong, I should really stop posting at 3/5am, that i7 is a very fast processor, I personally would get a 7950/70 instend of 2x7870 since you will go crazy trying to get it to run well

That build is the pretty much the same thing, except mine is better. For one, an i7 is no better than the i5 in gaming. It's the same thing, except the i7 has hyperthreading, which is only used in one or two games. The rest of the specs are the same thing as the i5. It's certainly not worth the extra $100. I have a better MOBO, the extreme 4 is the best MOBO under $150. And I also have a faster SSD, your is series 840, mine is series 840 PRO. One single GPU is always better than crossfiring to lesser GPU's. That crossfire will cause microstuttering, and won't be on par with the 7970. I have also included a good 1080p monitor, and left $100 for mice and keyboard.

I have a vanilla 680, I bought it because it was the only kepler at the time available. Its not worth it IMHO, it was at the time but not now. If he were to go single GPU, he could go 670 or a 7970. Or just a single 7870 LE overclocked should perform around 7950 levels for 240.

And yes an i5 is great for gaming right now, but what about in the next year two years etc. I have a SB

it has a very good motherboard and a very good cpu!the graphics card is compatible with the price but the psu seems not to be good!so the ram!for this amount of money you could buy something really better!

And yes an i5 is great for gaming right now, but what about in the next year two years etc. I have a SB i7 with a hyper 212 + it oc well and is a beast, more future proof IMHO. I do like the mobo in Ballers build.

I did mention that if he went with an i5 and one 7870 le he could do the build for roughly 1000 dollars, Which should game @ 1080p for 3 years.

That just made me more confused. From what i gathered, the list tht manofkryptonak gave me is the best one except with the motherboard changed to something cheaper. Also, i should get a nice keyboard and mouse duo for about $15 and save money. Is that it? Uh... Okay. Just a question now, will those parts still be the rank they are now in about 5 months?

Oh, and also, will the two radeons work as well s or better than the 7970? And, can you please change the list accordingly? It is hard to track the things here every time. Thanks you guys a lot.

I have a better overall build than krypotnak. The CPU is virtually the same. Only benefit that i7 has over i5, is that it has hyperthreading, which is not used in gaming. Second of all, I have a faster SSD. kyrptonak has Samsung 840. I have Samsung 840 PRO. I also have a better motherboard, as you already know. Lastly, two crossfire GPU's will never work better than one good GPU. Games are not made for crossfire, or SLI yet. And AMD's drivers are still maturing, meaning you won't get the full power of crossfire. Micro-stuttering will occur, especially with mid-range GPU's. Most crossfire/SLI combinations are for higher end cards. In case you don't know what micro-stuttering is,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMPFfjupeq8

That shows BF3 micro-stutter. That's how you'll be playing if you go with kryptonak's build.

I normally would research myself but being as inexperienced as i am right now, not a good idea. Besides, this is sorta my research, hehe. Also, can i have your build, ballerslife, for some good assurance now? Thanks. Also, will the chips that come out in august be better than the 7970 and fit in my budget?

You might want to make a pcpartpicker account, and save that to yours. And whenever you need to change it, just edit out the part. And, the 8000s series will ultimately be better than the 79XX series. Also, Intel's haswell CPU's will be coming out around the beginning of June. So you should get a Haswell CPU too. You'll be pretty much set for 4-5 years. Again, I stress that you should start researching now, as it will be valuable when evaluating which products tog get

this setup is fine and do everything, maybe spend little on corsair Power Supply, but overall best build here, i upgrade my pc's very often and working PC hardware, this will do what you want, but suggest better PSU for future GPU upgrades. BEST SELECTED ANSWER *click*

Alright, really grateful for the build. But i do have a question. Why did you choose the parts specifically when there are seemingly better parts with the same price? Like you chose the arc midi r2 case when there was an arc midi r2 case with usb 3.0? Thanks. Also, could you give a suggestion for a mouse and a keyboard that is cheap, stylish, durable, and preferably comes in red, black or gold. I really appreciate all the help.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sidewinder-x4-keyboard
this is keyboard i use pretty good for its price point
allso mouses there more personal prefencers, i dont liker razer mouses or keyboards, but i have used steel-series mouses , but they have really bad drivers, allways fails to , but product it self still works with out the software veryy welll and reliable

and cases comes down to personal taste don't have get that case, there alot good cases , Antec/coolermaster, thermaltake and more, just pick one you like and use the specific hardware that was posted, one that i agreed on.

Don't really know a lot about keyboards and mouses. I got this Microsoft keyboard/mouse combo for $15 on sale. It was originally $35. I think it's called Microsoft 600, it has a wired mouse and keyboard.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/wired-desktop-600/APB-00001

If you don't like it, you can find another one. But get wired for gaming, so you don't have to replace batteries every day. And it's response time is faster. And yes, you can use any case for parts. I'm not really good at cases, so make a new thread about it on the forums.

First of all, you don't need a that cooler. Mine is quieter and cheaper, and cools the same. Plus that's a no name brand cooler, which probably doesn't have good quality. 2nd, my MOBO is the best MOBO under $150, so scratch his mobo out. RAM is the same. I have no idea which SSD is better, but he doesn't have a mass storage, while I do. GPU is basically the same. If you're going to add a second video card later, than that PSU is ideal. But if you're just going with one GPU, then mine is probably better. Monitor is more or less the same.

Sorry, didnt mean to offend you or imply anything bad. Just saw that the guy had cool parts with less price, i am glad i have better ones. Could you please look at te pcpartpicker case list tho, just under the case you told me about, the same case is the with usb 3.0 ports. Ouls you just take a look, please? I really do want the best with the budget and your suggetion is the best i saw till now. Thanks for all your help, ballerslife. Thanks to you all too.
