I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7782889&sku=B69-1560

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Solution
Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.98 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung...
Terrible monitor, get a a 21.5 inch Asus for $130. A few inches is not worth quality reduction. And you only need to fans, for the top exhaust, that's it. More fans doesn't necessarily mean better airflow, plus its more noisier.

As for Haswell, tell your parents to not sweat it. There is no premium. And your going to end up spending around an extra $50 for MOBO and the CPU. If you are that concerned about budget, then you should drive to the nearest Microcenter, great prices there.

For the PSU, 750w is the bare minimum, either get 850 or go home, especially since you have GK110 architecture.

So, i should not get haswell and get a 750w psu instead? I doubt 750 is needed as pcpartpicker only says that 430 is the bare minimum for the build and i am going with a quality 650.
The in-store prices for microcenter are a little bit better. We are probably not going to pick the parts up that way though as it is way easier for my parents or order online. I just hope the discount hold up till then.
Anyways, i really want a large monitor. I liked the Vh238H, is that fine?
Also, how is the z77 Pro3 mobo?
I'll take off the fans.

You said you are going to SLI, if you SLI'ing, than 750 is borderline. Better to go with 850 and be done with it.

If you have a Microcenter nearby, I implore you to go there. The 4670k is only $200 and they give a $40 off discount on your motherboard also. You'll end up saving a lot, not to mention they give you good CS9 1600Mhz RAM for $50. (Crucial Sport 8GB if you want the model). I got my rig when Microcenter was selling the 3570k for $170, plus the $40 off mobos. Ended up saving around $100.

The Z77 is an okay mobo, as long as you're not overclocking.

No going to SLI. I don't have the budget. Sorry about that. I know 850 is better with SLI.
The thing is, we don't have a microcenter nearby. There's tigerdirect, but no one else i know. i would like the things cheaper, but i have no microcenter nearby that i can just get up and go to.
Anyways, i am thinking of the IPS Asus VS229H-P 21.5" Monitor. What about that? I am trying to find some other monitors right now. How about the Viewsonic VS2270sMh? Which one should i choose?

I'm confused here. You said you plan to SLI when one card is not enough, then you said you aren't going to SLI?

If you aren't, than a XFX Pro 550w is good enough.

If you are, than get a 850w PSU.

For the monitor, get Asus, the best monitors in the industry.

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

That page details the power supply wattage for each card.

I am probably not going to SLi. Changing my mind. Sorry about the confusion.

I am still not sure about the monitor though. I can get the IPS and good quality but smaller monitor and use my PS3 with it too.
OR
I could go with the bigger but lesser quality monitor and use the HDMI cable for my monitor instead of the pS3.

Don't get IPS for gaming, slow response times equals ghosting in multiplayer. It's better to get a good quality monitor at a smaller size. A few inches doesn't matter.

Do you have an OS?

I thought i told you guys that i am getting that from my uncle. Also, this might sound stupid, but is Windows region free?

About the build, it is about $25 overbudget. I can easily take care of that with the keyboard and mobo. Hmm... What do you think of this?

Do you live in Canada or US? That build is from Candian stores.

The first flaw is the crappy MOBO, don't expect much overclock with that terrible VRM.

Second that RAM is out of stock.

Don't spend $20 on some crappy speakers, your monitor speakers would do you better. Better to save some money and get some good Surround speakers.

I live in Canada. I am looking for a build that i can get from Canadian stores

What about the D3H instead?

I am hoping that it will not be for the next 1 and a half month. Otherwise, i will get other RAM. Care to explain to me the difference between dual channel and one stick of RAM?

Those speakers were the most recommended ones under the price point. The VS238 doesn't have built-in speakers. Are the speakers in the VH238H better than these? Can you find better speakers? Under $30

HMMM? HMMMMMM?

Just if you were interested this is what I'd buy with your budget for my self.

Maybe it will affect your final build.

You wouldn't even get a 770?

The 760 fits my needs perfectly, it can play almost any game on Ultra @1080p, plus it runs cooler and quieter. It also allows for a massive SSD.

Well, there's the smart you, and here's dumb old me:

Anyways, i changed the RAM and the MOBO. I think i should go with SLI ready rather than Haswell. Or should i go with Haswell rather than SLI? I can't decide.
