I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Storage: Samsung...
The 770 is outdated? I find that a tad hard to believe. Also, the most i am looking for in upgrades is the ability to SLI. This whole thread was based around a way to not upgrade. I apologize if that seemed rude. About the issues with the new card, well, i am not really sure if it really will be coming out at the end of September, and i am not really expecting it a lot. I will buy it, if only to wait a few days and see a few benchmarks before i do. Otherwise, the 770 Lightning is not a bad option.

Read the thread mate.

Hmm, i think i might get the 300r. After seeing some reviews of both that and the R4, the 300r seems much easier to build with. I know that the r4 has the better quality and grommets and the s.ound dampening, but because it seems to be my first build, it seems much easier and lazier to build with the 300r than the R4.

What do you think of the purchases. i think that 950W is good enough and the TX series is not a pushover either. I read some reviews of the M4 and it seems that it is not a bad ssd. I would have wanted better, but at $75, i had little choice. The new CM Quickfire Ultimate seemed like a good choice too. What do you think of this surprise? I hope i made a good decision.

Yeah. That was the reason that i chose the high grade PSU. I wasn't that sure about the ssd but i read some reviews and it felt fine. I haven't seen any reviews or unboxings of the keyboard and i google it regularly to have it pop up.

I have a good sale going on right now and i have the mind to buy the following parts at their respective prices. What do you guys think?

Corsair Carbide series 300r: $53

Corsair Vengeance 1300 Analog Gaming Headset: $44

D-Link Extreme N Desktop PCI Adapter: $23

All in all, by buying these parts, i am spending $150 and saving $50.

Should i buy all of those, none or only some. I am deciding to buy tonight at 9 eastern

Not a fan of the Corsair headsets. Then again I'm not a fan of any headsets you can get for under $150. If I were you I would get some nice headphones and a desk microphone if you need one.

Any sooner, Sam, and you might have made me reconsider. Now? I have them on the way to shipping. Still, i wanted a nice headset and the 1300 fit the bill. The mic is very rarely used but nice to have if you need it. The headset looks AMAZING and performs admirably nonetheless. It should be good enough for me if $5 headphones sound fine to me.

Okay, keep in mind if you don't like the headset you can always send it back and get a your money back.

trust me the Fractal Design Define R4 is the case to have in a build of this caliber. i have the black pearl windowed version it awesome to work in. the grommets are better than Corsair Case grommets. you actually screw the drives in not just snapped them in. some people don't like that. i actually prefer that the drives have to be screwed in.their is thrumb screws for optical and expansion slots.

I rally don't know. !Right now, the 400R looks good. I am not buying a case right now but i will buy the corsair if it goes on sale. I really like the R4 and would buy it if it was on sale but it is not right now and the 400R is. Tell you what. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and skip the 400R sale npw. After that, we will see what happens.

What do you think guys? Due to some complications, i was not able to get the Corsair 300R. But, i got the Corsair Vengeance 1300 Headset, The D-Link Wifi Adapter and the Logitech Z313 Speakers. I also changhed from Ivy to Haswell. Are they good purchases?

3570k > 4670k we had this discussion...remember? Even Tom's Hardware doesn't recommend the 4670k!!!
