I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Solution
Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.98 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung...

With the 290, I would get a non-reference cooler design. Like a 290 Hawk Edition, or DCUII, or Toxic/Vapor-X Edition, or HIS Card with Turbo Cool, or even something like a Gigabyte Windforce X3

I agree 100%, not a massive fan of Windforce but it's okay, I was just saying watch out for the reference cards.

The R4 is sound deadened, not sound proof, it'll sill sound terrible and you will still loose frames.

Yup, I would also wait for non-reference cards. The stock coolers are much too loud and heat up very quick. Since you've waited this much, I think you should wait a week or so for the non-reference design. I'm taking that you have everything built but waiting to put in the GPU?

I'd think that getting an Acccelero Extreme is a bit too extreme... for my particular configuration.

And no, ballers, i have not yet done anything but put in the optical and the storage drives. Should i build the whole system and wait for the GPU?

Build the whole thing, since the GPU is pretty much the last thing I ever put in a build there's no reason not to.

Actually, I think you got the 8350 correct? If you did, then don't build it because you won't have display. FX series do not have integrated graphics, so it'll be useless to build it. Unless you want to just build the whole thing and just easily insert the GPU when it arrives.

As for GPU coolers, I believe they void the warranty. Your choice, I personally wouldn't get one in case my card fails a couple months later.

HOLY HELL, ITS SO THRILLING!!!!!!! Hell, i was frustrated almost the entire time but i feel like going there, taking it apart and putting it back together again.

Though, i didnt get many of the cables plugged in, the evo did not get into the damn mobo and i had to use the stock, i think it might not work, my cable management is a mess, and i'd like to thank SamGriffiths for the wonderful advice -_-

God, though, the experience was just awesome.

Haha, no problem 😉, you had to build it at some point, why not do it now so you can get it working 10 minutes after the GPU arrives.

Now there'd actually be something positive if one of the parts seems to be defective. I can take it apart an build it again!

I'll work on the cable management sometime soon though. I had to lay the case flat an put on the side panel that way.

Fractal R4 is easy case with cable managment.

It is not so good with water cooling but with air cooler its OK.
Remember to put cpu cooler 90 degerr angle. It works better that way.

So that warm air is going up. Not other way. (back)
Two slow fans top of case and one to floor or side to cool video cards.
Then you can slow video card fan to make more silent build.

Remember post pictures of your build.

I have couple funny ones :)

When I was trying to fit 560mm rad in Enermax Fullmo GT case 😀
It was easy when I did figure out how to do it. :)

Images do not work 🙁 I try fix them later:) Link problem. I think

Edit. Fixed.

Oh i have tons of pictures, mostly of the boxes of the individual parts and only one of the build itself LOL. I'll take more of them. I'll go back and organize the cables sometime, and post post the before/after pics of that too. So yeah. I'm really debating whether ti just buy a 290 and get it over with, but i know i'll regret it the moment that the non-reference ones come out.

Oh yes! I redid the cable management and it turned out much better. I think that i may have another go at it but that's extremely unlikely.

I'd give pictures but i want all of you to wait for the 290 along with me.

Yea, I was surprised what a second go of cable management could do. You have a really good case and a modular PSU, so cable management should be flawless. Just route everything on the back plate, then snake the cables through the holes to their respective sockets. All extra cables go in the back, make sure to use lots of those ties.

Post pictures when you have the 290 slotted in. That way the finale of this 7 month and 750 post thread will be spectacular! I think this is the second most replied to thread after system gallery.
