My friend is building a PC and he said if this power supply is any good, personally I am more experienced in motherboards, GPU's and CPU's. So I was just wondering if this one was any good;

Personally I dont think this will last at all but please do leave your thoughts down below, Thanks!

P.S. he is planning on having a GTX 780 with this... :pfff:

An 860k & spending money on a h60 then wanting a £40 PSU ??
Is he nuts.

Tell him to dump the 860k idea completely.
Dump the h60
Buy a pentium g4560 , use the stock cooler , a cheap b250 board & ddr4 ram.

A far more sensible choice & upgradeable (the 860k is not)
In 99% of games its also going to thrash it completely.

He's the type of guy who goes for looks instead of performance honestly. Thanks for the suggestions.

if he is into looks, ask him to get a cool looking case. it doesnt affect the core parts anyway. none of his part selection has LED or RGB. if u want an honest answer, just tell us the overall budget and his performance expectations. we will keep aesthetics in mind 😉

Into looks ? I'm not seeing an 860k looking any better than a Pentium (not that you can see it with a cooler fitted anyway)
Pentium & 860k - same price , pentium is a lot stronger performer.

Msi-a78m - yea it's cheap but looks - that is imo an ugly ugly board with those sky blue caps everywhere.
A decent b250 will cost £10-15 more max.
The pentium is so low powered you'll get away with a cx450 which is £12 less & counteracts that difference.
