Hi
I`m prebuilding a computer that´s good in price,quality and performance.

As i am new to this i would like to ask someone who knows a thing or 2.

Is this good for what i need?

Regarding "Maximum performance" I can tell you it won't max out much, but in terms of playing at some pretty decent graphics that card will do, especially at 1080p. I would also suggest lowering CPU a bit and getting a better gpu. Maybe try and save up for a 980 as that will get you pretty much max on everything currently out, and possibly a bit in the future.

And if you go with a non-k processor you can lower the motherboard cost a tad as-well, helping in GPU upgrade.
As for "maximum quality and performance" I can't give you an absolute yes because you can almost always spend more money for a higher quality product. But, I can tell you that this setup will be more than capable to seriously game

I would get a cheaper CPU, like a i5 4690k if you're into overclocking, or a 4590 if you're not, you could save some money with a cheaper motherboard/cpu/cooler so you can put it in a better GPU, like a 970. That way it would perform better in games.

Simply put, a 4790k is too much for a gtx 960.

What motherboard cpu and cooler would you put in then?
(I should have said this before that i will be doubling the GPU with SLI a few months after i buy my pc)

thanks 🙂

What CPU would you recommend ?

Exactly what mlga91 said

All depends if you wish to delve into the world of overclocking.

I don´t plan on overclocking as i have never done it before but if i did is it easy to do and if so what do you do ?

okay then yes i will be overclocking sorry for being a pain.
based on the computer specs i said before what would you change or recommend

thanks

Thats a great buy and was going to get that myself, (until i go the cash to shell out for the 4790k). It has the performance of an i7, and much lower cost, but, you loose OC capabilities. Its a great chip for a budget buy, but gaming wise still not needed. The i5 OC'ed will get same or more performance.

@ OP: If you want to skip overclocking and just avoid the whole cooler issue as well this chip gets the job done aswell.

so what would happen if i got the 4790k would the pc not work properly or is it that i just wont use all its capability and it be a waste of money?

It won't be fully balanced by the system, and there will be some wasted potential. It would work and stuff just fine. For example I'm rolling on with a 970, I rarely use my cpu past halfway before my GPU hits 100% usage.

But it would work fine ? im just thinking so if i start upgrading and upgrading thats something i wouldn´t have to change?

Thank you soo much for your help.

if you dont mind these last few bit that would be great.

CPU = Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0Ghz Box
MotherBoard = what would you recomend ?( i need it to support :32 GB ram,either 2 GPU or just one better gpu with Nvidia and SLI)
Ram= Kingston HyperX Savage DDR3 2400 PC3-19200 16GB 2x8GB CL11
CPU Cooler = do you reccomend liquid coller or heat sink with fan?
SSD = Kingston HyperX Fury SSD 120GB SATA3
HDD = WD Green 2TB SATA3 64MB
Tower = Zalman Z11 Plus Red
Power Supply = what do you think? (not forgetting Upgrading ram and multi GPU)
GPU = Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 Gaming G1 WindForce 4GB GDDR5 is this a good starting point or should i go better?
CD-DVD Reader = Asus DRW-24F1MT Writer DVD 24X Black
Moniter = Samsung LS24D300HS 24" LED
Keyboard and Mouse = Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Keyboard + Mouse Red
USB WIFI = Asus Usb-n13 Wifi adapter 802.11n Usb 300mbps

Thank you

Water-cooling will keep your temperatures down but by no means necessary.. And I have never had an issue with any XFX XTR and will always recommend.

Motherboard was recommended by mlga91 and it seems good quality so here.
