So my girlfriend is looking for an upgrade and I've brought this together as she wants to upgrade to something decent so she can play games like cyberpunk and frostpunk 2 without issues.
She's upgrading from a GTX 1070 and an intel i5-8600k CPU with 16 GB RAM.
From what I've seen this should be fine, the only issue being potential space or the graphics card not being available.

Is there any improvements to be made or is this a solid upgrade?

EDIT: Graphics Card we're looking at alongside this is a RTX 2060 Super

Put this motherboard in and take out the one you put in and the network card.

also instead of Noctua, put this one , the 5600x doesn't need an expensive cooler.

Thank you!

I've changed the parts to these, I just noticed that the graphics card I selected on there so just to clarify,
The card we're looking at is an RTX 2060 SUPER, and we're looking at a second-hand/refurbished due to them seemingly not being available on retail.

With 2060 you go back 5 years, isn't there anything else you can do?
How much money for a card?

Spending way too much on cooler. Get a better board with wifi. That NV2 is a pretty terrible drive. the NV3, specs wise, is faster and similar in price. For less you can even step up to a 5800x.

From what I saw from benchmarks, this processor wasn't really worth the extra £30.

It seems to have better performance, but iirc from a while ago doesn't AMD have some small issues with certain games and functions? The game and function names escape me but are those not huge issues anymore?
I asked you earlier how much money you paid for the 2060 you mentioned and you didn't answer.

All cards can have issues potentially. I’ve got a 6800xt in my pc that I’m very happy with. I’d suggest swap to a 5700x on the cpu. Those Thermalright coolers are good. Using one with my i5 12600kf and it’s happy as a lark.
I have been using Thermalright coolers for 25 years.
There is nothing better.

quickly checked with some benchmarks, it seems to drop some frames using the 5700x and a 2060s

I asked you something and maybe you don't understand the question.
You said 2060 in a used one.
For the money they have in there, you get a better card and a newer one.
ah. it'd probably be around 100-300 from what I'm seeing on ebay

we're looking to keep the 2060S due to us already having the Nvidia software installed and wanting to keep the old drives.
