My current build is this
CPU: i3-6100
GPU: GTX 960 2gb
RAM: 8gb 3200

But I would be changing to this
CPU: i5-9400F
GPU: 1660TI or 1660 (when it comes out)
RAM: matching set of 8gb to bring to 16gb

With a new mobo this would all come to $550-$600 depending on the GPU I get and any price changes. Would the 1660 be a bottleneck? Should I just get the 1660 TI?

Solution
I'd skip the i5 personally. Ryzen 3000 series should be out this year, leaks look good on it so far. That's where I'd spend my money imo. Also, get the best card you can afford imo.

dude just wait gpu and ram prices r dropping big soon (probably) so its best to wait.

btw 1660 ti probably worth the few bucks but stats rnt out yet to make sure so hold on a little longer to make the decision.

That's what I was thinking, I'm just unsure if the 9400F will still be available since its a "specialized" chip or whatever. Maybe it has a limited supply.
